Brief Description: Carolina Wetland Services, Inc. worked with Foster Grading to renovate the Cox Mill Elementary School storm water system creating two new bioretention cells, a 2.5 acre constructed wetland, and two enhanced grass swales.

Services Performed:

  • 2,200 sq yds of erosion control matting installed
  • 15 acres of permanent and temporary seeding and mulching
  • 129 containerized plants installed
  • 12 B&B trees installed
  • 2,700 sq yds of Bermudagrass sod installed
  • 3,600 herbaceous wetland plugs installed

Brief Description: The Dixie River Pond Project consisted of removal and treatment of cattail infestation followed by planting the 0.7 ac wet pond with aquatic herbaceous species.

Services Performed:

  • 2,000 wetland herbaceous plugs installed
  • 150 3-gallon shrubs installed
  • 500 linear feet of GooseGuard Fencing installed

 

C. Peachtree Parkway Public Storage BMP

Client: Apex Companies

Brief Description: CWS was contracted by Apex Companies to restore this overgrown Public Storage BMP pond in Norcross, GA.

Services Performed:

  • Complete removal of woody stems
  • Repairs and installation of erosion control matting

D. Jack Smith Creek Storm Water Project

Brief Description: CWS worked with NC State University on this storm water project involving construction and planting of a 25-acre wetland.

Services Performed:

  • 143,000 wetland plugs installed

Brief Description: CWS worked with Landcare Innovations on this storm water renovation project.

Services Performed:

  • 60 cu yds organic material incorporated into littoral shelf prior to planting
  • 10,000 wetland plants installed
