Carolina Wetland Services has the expertise to assist developers with their large-scale renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and hydroelectric). Our staff have experience in completing all phases of projects, including Pre-construction Siting and Analysis, Wetland and Stream Delineation and Permitting, Mitigation and Restoration, Rare, Threatened and Endangered Species Surveys, Vegetation Analysis and Management Plans, Construction Monitoring, and Post-construction Studies. Our biologists are experts in planning studies and obtaining authorization for federal and state permitting in multiple regions for Clean Water Act Section 404 , including Nationwide and Individual Permits, State Program General Permits, Section 401 Water Quality Certification, Section 10, and Section 107 consultation.
Pre-construction StudiesNatural resource constraints can be a driving force in the successful development of a renewable energy project. CWS biologists review desktop data for initial planning and put into action the appropriate studies needed to document site conditions for preliminary planning. Studies include assessments of aquatic resources, threatened and endangered wildlife, plants, and communities, vegetation analysis and preparation of native species vegetation management plans.
